About Hangzhou


Hangzhou, refers to as "Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, deputy provincial city, located in the southeast coast, north of Zhejiang, Qiantang River downstream, the southern tip of the Beijing-Hangzhou grand canal and is Zhejiang province politics, economy, culture, education, transportation and financial center. It is one of the Yangtze River delta urban agglomeration, Hangzhou ecological economic zone node city, one of the important electronic commerce center in China and a new line of the city.

West Lake
West Lake or Xī Hú is a famous fresh water lake located in the historic area of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China. It evolved from a shallow bay through which the Qiantang River flowed into the East China Sea. In the ancient times it was called Wulin Waters, Golden Buffalo Lake, Qiantang Lake and Xizi Lake.

Xixi National Wetland Park
Xixi National Wetland Park is the first and only national wetland park in China, located at the west part of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, a total of 10.64 square kilometers. The park is densely crisscrossed with six main watercourses, among which scatter various ponds, lakes and swamps.

Qiandao Lake
Qiandao Lake is a man-made lake located in Chun'an County, Zhejiang, China, formed since the completion of the Xin'an River hydroelectric station. There are 1,078 large islands in the lake and a few thousand smaller ones. It covers an area of 573 km² and has a storage capacity of 17.8 km³. The total area of the islands in the lake is about 86 km².

Gongchen Bridge
Gongchen Bridge east and west across the Grand Canal, is the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to Hangzhou terminal sign. The total length of the bridge is 92 meters. It is a landmark building with three-hole thin pier arch bridge with longitudinal joints and parallel masonry. The bridge shape lofty, magnificent spirit, Gongshu district in Hangzhou. The east and west sides of the bridge have built Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum in China, China Umbrella Museum, China Fan Museum, China Knife Scissors Sword Museum.

The Qiantang River
It is the Chinese Zhejiang Province biggest rivers. Its Old name Zhejiang. Has two sources: The source originates to Anhui Province rests southwest Ninghsien six points, from the west to southeast, after enters Zhejiang Province to the Jiande city plum city with comes collects since the southwest blue river, to the east Beiliu to Ganpu in the neighborhood of, pours into Hangzhou bay, the span 605 kilometers.

Zhejiang Xianghu Tourist Resort
Zhejiang Xianghu Tourist Resort connects Xiaoshan city in the east, Qiantang river in the west, Zhejiang-Jiangxi railway in the north, Hangzhou expressway in the south, and West lake only 15 kilometers. Hubei coastal Chengshan is the place where king Goujian stored grain and soldiers during the spring and autumn period. Yaolin Wonderland
YaoLin wonderland is located in Tonglu county, 80 kilometers away from hangzhou, is a subtropical humid in central east China coastal area as the typical representative of karst cave, a state-level scenic spot, also known as YaoLin hole, depth of 1 km, with a total area of 28000 square meters. It is "China resort of four top ten", "one of the top ten tourist destination in zhejiang province".


Hangzhou International Airport, is one of the top ten airports in China and the top 100 airports in the world. The airport is located in Jingjiang Town, east of Xiaoshan district, Hangzhou. It is an important trunk airport in China, an international regular flight airport, a first-class air port open to the outside world and an international flight alternate airport. It is the large regional hub airports designated by the State Council.

In 2016, Hangzhou has been identified as one of the 19 comprehensive railway hubs in China, with two high-speed railway corridors -- Beijing-Shanghai corridor and Shanghai-Kunming corridor -- planned to meet in Hangzhou. According to the overall planning, there will be the station of Hangzhou, Hangzhou East Railway Station, Hangzhou West Railway Station, Hangzhou South Railway Station, Bus Terminal, the Airport Station and Jiangdong Station -six ways to Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, Wuhan, Nanchang, Changsha, Kunming, Hefei Shangqiu, Huangshan, Wenzhou, Taizhou, Ningbo and Shenzhen - eight directions. So there is the basic form of "one axis and two wings" railway hub layout.

The Highway-ring around Hangzhou, is the trunk highway Shanghai - Ruili and part way of Hangzhou, Nanjing and Ningbo. It is an important part of national backbone network, well versed in Hangzhou and the Shanghai – Hangzhou – Ningbo - Hangyong Expressway, Hangjinqu Expressway and 104, 320 National Highway, solving between provincial expressway transit traffic transportation vehicles. It is to perfect the national highway network, the urgent needs of the national highway main functions.

Water Transport
There is the Millennium grand canal through the country; The Qiantang River flows into the sea. Hangzhou water transport has a long history and has always been the hub of inland water transport in Zhejiang. In recent years, the port and shipping department of Hangzhou has actively promoted the Renaissance of inland water transportation in Hangzhou. Through the renovation and expansion project of Fuchunjiang lock and the improvement of navigation level of waterway, the port and shipping department has made efforts to eliminate the bottleneck of inland water transportation, promote the sea-river combined transportation, and help the transformation and development of inland water transportation in Hangzhou to create a new pattern of water transportation Renaissance.

Rail Traffic
Hangzhou Metro is an urban rail transit service for Hangzhou and other regions in the city circle. Its first line, Hangzhou Metro line 1, was officially opened on November 24, 2012, making Hangzhou the fourth city in east China and the first city in Zhejiang province to have a Metro line. Hangzhou Metro line 1 is also the first Metro line in Zhejiang province.
